vintage mix : rollerskating panda cardigan

I was doing some vintage shopping and found this rollerskating panda cardigan -- had to have it!
I was inspired to create a dress that could be worn with it, in this case by the circles of the rollerskate wheels. I wanted there to be a bit of dimension, and my usual comfort and ease to wear.

Here is the cardigan!

And here is the dress I made!

Here they are together!

And here they are on a favorite little muse :D

Thank you for the photos Kim!

With just a little hunting and searching you can find some wonderful pieces to mix and match with new (well, upcycled) dresses! Check out 3ringcircus for more cool vintage childrens finds!! Nostaligic and fun, green and cool.

new style: the best vest!

It's got a shawl collar!
I don't gather as many sweatshirts from the thrift store as I do tshirts and knits, but sometimes I can't resist. And sometimes you just need a cozy layer to tie snug!

Introducing the best vest :D Tie it in the back and let the front drape, or tie it around the front like a robe.

This green one is a 5/6.
Recycled and pieced knits.
10" from underarm to bottom hem on side.

sold out - thank you!

Gentle wash cold, hang dry.
No iron.

Montana days ...

One of the perks of working with professional photographers, is that they take us to stunning locales. Rebecca Drobis spends a good part of her year in northern Montana teaching and working as an award-winning photographer. I am so fortunate to have some recent shots of Montana gals in my dresses! Oh the environment is mesmerizing....

This is how I feel often:

In the last journey, Rebecca took us to Hawaii!
