all the frills you never expected

They're definitely sweet, and not just left to the girliest of girls. I just love how the volume and texture of these ruffles enhance my dresses. Miss Ellie is so chic! Just lovin' this sweet set from Pascale!

A reminder: I do not alter my dresses after they are completed.

I create dress one-by-one, not in an assembly line manner. My design process involves making decisions during construction, and are not revisited once the piece is complete.

Seeing circles!!

Miss out on the circles silkscreen??
Bella (and those gorgeous, gold ringlets?!! ) models my shortsleeve silkscreen twirl.
There will still be more circles popping up in store... good luck in snagging one!

Many thanks to Julie of ZozoBugBaby for these sweet shots!
I am told there is fruit in these many, many barrels :D

introducing: the KEEN halter

It's a courtneycourtney ORIGINAL!

I've been so excited about my new style it's been difficult to keep hush. Thank you to all my little friends testing it out for me. If you didn't know, I don't release new styles till I try them on a range of sizes. (I guess I did implement this from design school). I'm extremely focused on how my designs fit, as to best be wearable AND charming. She's gotta look good, right??

And here it is! The new style she will love to wear all Summer long: the KEEN halter!
I designed this pattern to comfortably tie at the back of the neck, cleanly showing the inside fabric as well. Nice and neat.
Our favorite little redhead is back modeling this 'keen' new cc style!
Photographed and adorably styled by Jenny Gironda!

take 2

You didn't think I'd stop at one knot, right?

showers showers

I get a ton of requests for baby shower gifts, especially unisex.

So in addition to pants and booties, I'm excited to present knot hats!!
In courtneycourtney fashion: upcycled from soft, recycled knits; lays flat around baby's head.

feeling girly!

So, as many of you know, I am not a girly girl. Yes, you can always find me wearing skirts and dresses with pointy heels, and you'll rarely find me in pants.
Maybe it's these paperlili tops that Cristy sends over, they are so deliciously girly, glittery and sparkly.
Or maybe it's the long-awaited Chicago Springtime that seems to have arrived early this year :D

Either way, your next courtneycourtney dress may have ruffles!
All the frills you can expect from my creations. Enjoy!

collaboration: From C to Z !!!

INTRODUCING: From C to Z !

Oh, the magic that happens when creative minds come together. I am not sure exactly when me and Julie of Zozobugbaby came up with this concept. Somewhere in the flurry of all our emails and messages,
packages of fabrics that we find and ship back and forth for each other, I shipped Julie the makings of a staple style from courtneycourtney's designs: the flutter sleeve.
She completed the look, and in unabashedly zozobugbaby + courtneycourtney fashion: voilà!! Off to Pascale Wowak and her beautiful little model and our beloved muse, Ellie, they go!
The perfect combination of practical, sweet, whimsical and unique. As most of you know, each piece is handmade and one-of-a-kind. Careful attention is given to each dress as they are assembled beginning in

Chicago and completed in Salem, Oregon. Truly, well-traveled pieces that combine the sweetness and joy we intend for the lucky little girls wearing our dresses, to live in everyday.

It makes my spirit so happy to be able to bring to life our designs to share with you and your little ones.
I look forward to sharing more designs and collaborations like this, thank you for your support. And

THANK YOU Julie and Pascale, always a pleasure to practice amongst truly creative, strong and supportive women. Now enjoy!

And yes, MORE photos to come, or check them out for yourself!
