I can't tell you how happy I am to be printing so much again this past year. Designing and sewing my dresses goes to another level when I am able to also enhance the graphic quality of my thrifted, found knits.

new style : pouch bag : win one too!

So this is how it happens. I save everything. I have been saving the bottoms hems off of polo shirts (among other things) for years. I knew I would use them for something. Some of them turned into asterisk poms : http://courtneychu.blogspot.com/2010/02/asterisk-pom-flutter.html
I accumulated a bucketful and came up with these bags. I sewed about 18 in 24 hours - what does that tell you about me? Something about seeing the variety and colors as a collection is so satisfying.
There are lots of exposed seams and stitches. They don't lie flat. They are not lined. I love their texture. You can adjust the length of the straps by the knots. So if your little girl would prefer a handbag, or maybe a crossbody, go for it. I think some of the moms might be using it as well...
They will be popping up in the emails, please sign up here:

more Pascale hoodie photos!!
oh JOY! Pascale's photos are such a treat! Ellie is wearing my hoodie capsleeve layering twirl dress!
The seahorses in these images remind me of the first photos that Pascale sent to me -- I was immediately enamored. Thank you so much for sharing your talent and overall being awesome with me (and the world)!
