blackbird tees

Thank you Blackbird Tees, for sending along a batch of old test and mistake prints.
 They were inspiring to work with, and I am thrilled to continue them onto new adventures!

before and after: striped fleece

I found this striped knit womens dress in the thrift store.  

Later I discovered the fabric was a fleece, on the inside.  

Wanting to make this into a jacket,

I decided to flip the fleece side to the exterior.  

I took the snap closures from another rainbow plaid flannel dress I had.  

The original black knit collar is now the wrist trim on the sleeves.

Typically I try to find my souvenir tshirts in the thrift store after my trip, but I planned ahead this time.
